Hello and Welcome

I can honestly say that I always wanted to be a Beauty Therapist and have been very fortunate to work in the Beauty Industry for over twenty years. I have worked in the best of salons along with the nicest team of girls and although the Beauty Industry has evolved enormously since I qualified, one thing that has remained the same is that feeling. That feel-good-feeling from doing what I do. Yes, I love my job (and tea) but for me it’s so much more.

I love all aspects of beauty, be it waxing, tinting, nail care and makeup, but my passion is carrying out hands-on treatments, such as massage and facials. Of course, I’m slightly obsessed with essential oils, their beautiful scent and how effective they are so much so that I find myself reaching for them daily and enjoy using them alongside my treatments.

Now more than ever, taking some ‘me time’ is something I feel is essentially essential. It’s something that’s pencilled into a jam-packed diary, a reminder saved in our phones, a sticky note on the fridge, it's anything that reminds you to take some time for yourself. It's making and taking a moment to do more of what makes you feel good and that does you good!

Whether you’re at school, college or work, life can be hectic, but it’s important that we make time to look after ourselves and incorporate some ‘me time’ or relaxation into our daily schedules.

Everyone needs a Massage and Massage Therapy is always a good idea!

It’s one of those ‘feel good’ treatments to get when you just want a bit of ‘me time’ to support relaxation or need to work out those areas of tension, tightness or discomfort. Whatever the reason, you can rest assured you are in safe hands!

I think you will agree with me when I say that an Indian Head Massage sounds pretty amazing. Indian Head Massage has many health benefits both physically and emotionally that includes increased blood and lymphatic flow to the shoulders, neck, head and face. It helps relieve muscular and head tension, encourages sinus decongestion, healthy scalp and refreshes tired eyes as well as promoting relaxation, wellbeing and a feeling of peace and calm. This treatment includes the upper back, neck, scalp and face and is the ultimate relaxation treatment that aims to restore balance and harmony to the mind, body and spirit! dōTERRA AromaTouch Technique

The AromaTouch Technique is a simple, yet powerful method of essential oil application along the energy meridians of the back and feet. Utilising eight specific essential oils and blends, this light technique promotes relaxation and stress relief, while at the same time offers immune support and an overall wellness experience. The oils and oil blends that are used are dōTERRA Balance, Lavender, Tea Tree, On Guard, AromaTouch, Deep Blue, Wild Orange and Peppermint. This is a lovely treatment to have when you just want to rest, relax and recharge!

Facial... Yes Please

A facial is so relaxing and is one of the best ways to care for your skin. There is plenty to be said for that fresh, dewy glow and that soft, clean skin post-facial, but the relaxation of a facial massage and a little me-time makes this treatment a firm favourite. It’s always beneficial to have a massage and having a facial massage is like 'waking up' your face which helps to relieve tension, increases blood flow and kick starts lymphatic drainage that’s pure bliss!

This face care treatment includes a double cleanse, exfoliation, steam (extractions if needed) facial massage, mask and moisturiser and promotes a clear, well hydrated complexion.

Whether you just want to relax or be pampered, this treatment will leave your skin feeling clean and soft and leave you feeling refreshed and rested!

Essential Oils

I have to admit I was hooked right from the start and love how they can be used on a daily basis. Yes, I’m talking about essential oils!

Essential oils are are extracts of natural oils produced by plants and give a plant its fragrance. They are hidden within the roots, seeds, flowers, bark or other areas of many plants and are usually extracted through steam distillation.

Every essential oil varies in it natural makeup so it’s aroma and benefits are also unique. The variety of essential oils allows you to naturally and effectively address your specific needs and when you open and experience a bottle of high quality, unadulterated essential oil that dōTERRA offers, you will understand my slight obsession with them!

Massage Favourites

It’s always beneficial to add an essential oil/blend to help soothe tired, tense and achy muscles in need of some TLC during a treatment. You have so many to choose from but these are definitely the top five most used little bottles for massage treatments here.

Deep Blue
When your muscles are feeling tight and tense, then this little bottle is for you. Formulated to soothe and cool, this enriching blend of essential oils of Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum and Blue Tansy makes this blend the king of comfort. Daily life can be tiring for your body, and when you add physical exercise or strenuous activities you may need a little extra comfort and a deep blue rub! This is one of most requested oil blends used here for massage treatments! It’s also one of the oil blends included in The Aromatouch Technique Treatment.

AromaTouch (Massage Blend)
A blend of relaxing and comforting oils that include Cypress, Peppermint, Marjoram, Basil, Grapefruit and Lavender and has a clean fresh minty aroma! This blend of oils is absolutely beautiful, I love using it as part of massage treatments here and of course The AromaTouch Technique Treatment! It’s one of those oils to use when you have a bit of discomfort but also just want to relax!

Lemongrass and Copiaba
Lemongrass has quiet a strong fresh citrus aroma, Copiaba has a woody spicy aroma. This duo is a really effective combination for tight, tired and achy muscles.

Lavender
This oil is a must have oil and one that I always have here. It has a beautiful sweet floral scent and is known for its calming and soothing properties. A super oil to diffuse to create a relaxing atmosphere and is so comforting to use during a massage and The Aromatouch Technique Treatment.

Diffusing Essential Oils

When you start using essential oils, invest in a diffuser, it’s a simple and effective way to benefit from them.
A diffuser is used to fill the air in a room with tiny breathable particles of essential oils that smell amazing.
Adding essential oils into the air we breathe can influence the feeling in our environment and more powerfully our emotions, remember our sense of smell is one of our most powerful senses.

Citrus and mint oils are uplifting and energising for mood like Wild Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit, Peppermint and Spearmint.
Some oils purify the air like Tea Tree and Lime, Purify and specific blends like On Guard are an ideal choice too.

The combination of essential oils you can diffuse is endless, we all have our favourites but the choice is yours!
